A Living Classroom
The collective aim of the nice vocational training centre is to assist in raising the skills level of the Namibian tourism workforce and thus the quality of our national hospitality product. To this end, an intake of trainees are accepted into the advanced level 3 course, once they have successfully completed their entry levels (Level 1 & 2) courses at nice and at wolwedans desert academy. In total, the theory and practical training is completed after 28 months of full-time study.
Practical training is conducted on-site, in both the kitchen and the restaurant and bar, under the guidance of professional chefs and experienced managers. Theory is taught in accordance with a syllabus compiled with the Namibia Training Authority (NTA) and classes are facilitated by dedicated and experienced facilitators. Upon successful completion of their course, the NTA awards trainees an accredited certificate.
